The Wildlife Photographer of the Year

Arrays of events are on list for October 2013 in London. Here’s some information on some of those events including the Wildlife photographer of the Year, Photomonth, The Big Draw, London Restaurant Festival, Lulu and lots more.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year:

18th October 2013 – 23rd March 2014

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is in its 49th year and begins on 18th October at the Natural History Museum. This world renowned annual exhibition houses some of the world’s best and rarely seen images. A hundred images are selected from more than ten thousand international entries and these images will be kept on display.

Free daytime talks by world-class photographers, Lates with Mastercard and lots more events are a part of this exhibition. The exhibition is open from 10am to 5:30pm and is open until 10:30pm on every last Friday of the month except December.

The Big Draw:

1st October – 3rd November

The Big Draw 2013 will happen in 15 countries with the participation of more than 2,00,000 people. This event is for those who love drawing and it connects people of all ages with hundreds of new drawing activities at museums, galleries, libraries, heritage sites, parks and many other places. This event highlights the power of drawing and how it helps people to think, see and react.

The Big Draw is one of the biggest drawing festivals in the world and happens in more than 1000 venues. You can register online to participate in the Big Draw on any day between 1st October and 3rd November.

London Restaurant Festival:

3rd October – 21st October

The London Restaurant Festival is an event to raise the profile of London’s extraordinary range of restaurants. It incorporates over 800 restaurants from around the capital. This festival will feature events and festival menus.

Events such as Eat Film, A Sunday Lunch To Remember – Angela Hartnett, Gourmet odyssey, Tapas Tour, Cicchetti Trail, American Express and lots more are a part of this festival.


4th October

Veteran Scottish television personality and singer Lulu will perform her first London show on 4th October under the bridge in Fulham. This famous singer will perform her debut hit ‘shout’, ‘Boom Bang-a-Bang, with tunes from Al Green, Otis Redding, Eric Clapton and many more.

Diwali in London 2013:

27th October

Diwali, The Festival of Lights is one of the most important festivals for Hindus, and is celebrated every year in Trafalgar Square by communities across London. This annual event will be celebrated with light decorations, Indian music, traditional dances, prayers, sweets and lots more. It will be celebrated from 2pm to 7pm on 27th of October. This event provides a chance for Hindus in London and Londoners to come together to celebrate the free concert.

London Cocktail Week:

7th October to 13th October

London Cocktail Week will take place at over 150 of the best cocktail bars across London and it features tours, tasting sessions, pop up events, parties and lots more. Buy your wristband for London Cocktail week to enjoy your drinks.
