Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle in Kent, England is on the islands in a lake formed by the River Len and it was opened to the public in 1976. This is one of the loveliest castles in the world and one of the ideal spots for a family visit this autumn.

The Knights’ Realm Playground in this castle is built with wood and it has a bridge, secret tunnels, slides, a revetment wall and lots more. There is also a toddlers’ play area (for under 5) with lots of seating, slides, swings and other safe play equipments.

The spiralling maze with 2,400 yew trees is one of the main attractions of this castle and a part of this maze will reflect a Queen’s Crown when viewed from the centre. The underworld Grotto consist of shells, woods, minerals and much more. There is a separate Turf maze for younger children and it is near the children’s play area with small circles of turfs.

Falconry Displays are a part of this castle and it features a variety of Owls, Harris Hawks, Falcons, Striated Caracaras and lots more interesting birds on each season. Only during winter season displays may be shorter or even cancelled due to extreme weather.

The Black Swan, Duck Feed, Elsie the Castle Train and Mobility Transport, Punting on the Moat, Dog Collar Museum, Gardens and Grounds, Go Ape and lots more are available at Leeds Castle. An assortment of eateries is available in the cafes, restaurants and kiosks. Leeds castle is also facilitated with a souvenir shop and a golf shop stocking golf accessories.
