Transfer from Dover

Situated on England's southeast coast on the distinctive 'White Cliffs of Dover', Dover Port is a busy and popular seaport. It serves 16 million passengers and 2.5 million cars and coaches every year. As for freight vehicles, Dover seaport has the world-class facilities to serve two million of them each year. Transfer from Dover can be through many of the taxis lined up at the Cruise Terminals and the Eastern Docks.

Passenger facilities at the Port of Dover include bank and bureaux de change services, as well as public telephones, cash machines, information and booking desks, special needs facilities, and a huge selection of shops and eateries.

Ferry Services

The Eastern Docks ferry terminal at Dover port is where all ferries arrive and depart. P&O Ferries, the major operator at Dover, runs the Pride of Candbury, a ship capable of holding 2,000 people and 650 vehicles. Apart from this, it also operates many return crossings per day on the Dover-Calais route.

Norfolkline operates the Northern Merchant and Midnight Merchant ships to and from Dunkirk in France every day. The crossing time for this route is about 2 hours.

SpeedFerries operates catamarans and is known for a very fast service from Dover to France, which takes about 50 minutes. It serves Boulogne in France five times a day.

Back in 2005, the Hoverspeed fast ferry service that operated from Dover to Calais was suspended.
