Top Exciting and Colourful Events in London April 2014

This year’s spring season is filled with many exciting and colourful events. Here is some information on a few of those exciting events that are set to happen in the month of April.

London Coffee Festival:

Date: 03rd April – 06th April
Venue: Old Truman Brewery

The London Coffee Festival is one of the most exhilarating events for this season. Over 20,000 coffee lovers are expected to turn up for this event. It features more than 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, street foods, workshops, tastings and demonstrations from famous baristas, live music, DJs and lots more. Acme and Co., Alchemy, Aroma Baristas, Bespoke Water, Brita Professional, Bubble Froot, Caffeine, Free State Coffee, Google City Experts and many more are the exhibitors of this event.

International Pillow Fight Day 2014:

Date: 5th April
Venue: Trafalgar Square

The International Pillow Fight day is going to be a fun filled and may be one of those days that you will never forget if you take part. This event starts at 3pm in the Trafalgar Square and continues until you give up, or get knocked out, so don't not carry cheap and hard pillows or a pillow without a case. After the event you can take your battle hardened pillow with you, or donate it to the homeless.

This Is Now: Film and Video after Punk at BFI Southbank

Date: 1st April – 30th April
Venue: BFI Southbank

This is Now: Film and Video after Punk at BFI Southbank screens a series of short films from the 80s. This event now focuses on works from early 80s and a majority of super8 and 16mm films that have been out of circulation for 30 years. The BFI National archive works to restore significant areas of historical British Experimental Films.


Date: 3rd April – 14th September
Venue: Natural History Museum

This is the right season for a perfect visual treat, beautiful butterflies, caterpillars and moths. A stunning tropical butterfly house is built on the museum’s lawn. Visitors can play games, take up butterfly challenges, activities and learn more about life cycles, or simply take a stroll on the grounds and explore hundreds of free flying butterflies.
