London City Airport Guide
London City Airport is London’s smallest airport. The airport is jointly owned by GIP (75%) and Highstar Capital (25%) functioning as London City Airport Ltd. The airport has a single runway and is base for smaller planes that need shorter take offs and landing.
The terminal has two floors with check in and arrivals on the ground floor. The first floor has departures lounge and several shops. There are many options for parking at the airport: short and long stay, the main car park and valet parking. Bear in mind, parking at the airport can be very expensive.
Business travelers land at the airport all the year round. London is home to headquarters of the majority of the UK’s top 100 listed companies and more than 100 of the 500 largest companies in Europe, the airport is full with business travelers traffic. The airport is busy in winter as travelers flood for watching winter sports and spending time in ski resorts. Development is currently going on in the airport to serve the passenger traffic for Olympics 2012.
Transportation facilities are available more than the expectations of business travelers. Business travelers hire private taxis and enjoy a safe and comfortable journey. Business travelers prebook cars and schedule works and finish them on right time as they do not face any kind of problems with private taxis. London City Airport taxis suit people’s taste and are available in different class with excellent amenities.
